Maple Chicken

Recipe:

Seasoning-

  • 1 Tbsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes

Other-

  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 lb Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast
  • 1/2 C Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 C Green Onions, chopped

In a small bowl, combine pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder and red pepper flakes. Cut chicken breast into even sized strips, about 4 per half breast. Cover one side of the chicken strips with the seasoning (reserve half for the other side of the chicken).

Put olive oil in a non-stick skillet and heat over Medium-High heat. Once oil is warm, add chicken with the seasoned side down. While one side is cooking, sprinkle the remaining side with the seasoning. Cook each side about 5-6 minutes, depending on the thickness of your chicken. Just make sure all the pink is gone and the internal temperature is at least 165 degrees. Remove cooked chicken from pan. Reduce heat to medium Add maple syrup and onions to the hot skillet. Stir a bit and cook the onions down until they are soft. Turn off heat and wait for syrup bubbles to settle. Pour over chicken strips and serve.

Make about 3-4 servings.
